Wiring harness 1. Definition and composition of wiring harness. The components of a regular wiring harness are: wires, terminals, and plastic parts. In our electronics industry, it means' electronic wiring harness'. It generally refers to low-voltage electronic wire groups. It builds a communication bridge between two or more isolated and disconnected electronic circuits, allowing current to flow and achieve various functions of electronic components. It is an indispensable component in various electrical and electronic devices
The composition of complex wiring harnesses requires additional components such as tape, zip ties, sleeves, protective covers, labels, and so on.
2、 Home appliance wiring harness is the main body of the circuit network, and without home appliance wiring harness, there would be no home appliance circuit. At present, whether it is high-end luxury appliances or economical ordinary appliances, the form of wiring harness is basically the same, consisting of wires, connectors, and wrapping tape. Home appliance wires, also known as low-voltage wires, are different from ordinary household wires. Ordinary household wires are copper single core wires with a certain degree of hardness. And household appliance wires are all copper multi-core flexible wires, some of which are as thin as hair. Several or even dozens of soft copper wires are wrapped in plastic insulation tubes (polyvinyl chloride), which are soft and not easy to break. The commonly used specifications for wires in home appliance wiring harnesses include wires with nominal cross-sectional areas of 0.5, 0.75, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5, 4.0, 6.0 square millimeters, etc. They each have allowable load current values and are used for different specifications of wires for electrical equipment of different powers.
Simply put, single core and multi-core are actually the difference between single strand and multi strand. Multi core soft wire has a smaller diameter than single core hard wire. The current has a skin effect, and when the cross-sectional area of a single wire is equal, the ability to transmit current points is relatively greater, and the heat generation is always greater than that of a single wire. Multi strand wires are relatively soft and easy to operate, while single core wires have hardness and are difficult to operate. A single core hard wire, stripped of its insulation, is a solid copper wire with a cross-sectional area of generally 1.5mm2, 2.5mm2, and 4mm2. Why use copper instead of aluminum as the material? The reasons are high internal resistance, low power consumption, low current carrying capacity, poor tensile strength, easy formation of oxide layer, and short service life.
So electrical components use multi-core wires, just like the wiring harness used for our cooling fans here, and the power cord for household televisions is also multi-core wire.
